Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 23, 2026 · Applies to globalinvesting.github.io

1. Overview

Global Investing ("we", "us") operates the FX Terminal at globalinvesting.github.io. This Privacy Policy explains what data is collected when you use the Terminal, how it is used, and your choices regarding that data.

The Terminal itself is a static site hosted on GitHub Pages and requires no account, login, or registration to use. Browsing the Terminal does not create a personal profile with us. The one exception is described in Section 3 below: if you activate a paid license (MT5 Expert Advisor or equivalent premium access), a small amount of account-level and technical data is processed by us directly to operate that license system.

2. Data We Collect

We do not collect personal information from general visitors browsing the Terminal. The following third-party services integrated into the Terminal may collect data on their own behalf (Sections 5–7); separately, Section 3 covers the data we process ourselves for license holders only.

3. License Activation & Session Data

If you activate a paid license for the MT5 Expert Advisor or an equivalent premium product, we process the following data ourselves, to verify your license and keep your access secure:

Legal basis: our legitimate interest in operating a paid license system and preventing unauthorized use, which we consider to be a proportionate and expected part of providing that product. This data is used only for license operation and security; it is not sold, shared with advertisers, or used for profiling.

We do not currently have an automated deletion schedule for this data. If you would like your license activation history deleted, contact us (Section 12) and we will do so manually.

4. Cookies & Local Storage

The Terminal uses browser localStorage for the following essential purposes:

No tracking cookies are set by us directly. Google Analytics cookies are only set after you accept via the cookie banner (see Section 5 below); TradingView does not set tracking cookies and loads regardless of your cookie choice, as it is essential to core Terminal functionality. The two license-related entries above are set only if you activate a paid license and are not present for general visitors.

5. Google Analytics

If you accept cookies, we use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand aggregate usage of the Terminal — pages visited, session duration, and general navigation patterns. Analytics runs in Google's consent mode: no analytics cookies are set, and no data is sent to Google, until you accept via the cookie banner. If you reject cookies, no analytics data is collected.

We do not serve advertisements. The Terminal does not use Google AdSense or any other ad-serving network.

6. TradingView Widgets

The Terminal embeds TradingView charts and widgets. TradingView may set its own cookies and collect usage data per their Privacy Policy. These widgets load regardless of your cookie consent choice, as they are essential to core Terminal functionality.

7. GitHub Pages (Hosting)

The Terminal is hosted on GitHub Pages. GitHub may collect server logs including IP addresses, browser type, and pages visited per GitHub's Privacy Statement. We do not have access to these logs. (This is separate from the license-activation data described in Section 3, which we do have access to.)

8. Third-Party Data Sources

The Terminal displays market data sourced from external providers (ECB, CFTC, Myfxbook, and other third-party market data APIs). These data fetches are made client-side from your browser and are subject to each provider's privacy policy. We do not intermediary or log these requests.

AI-generated market narrative and signals are produced server-side by an automated pipeline and delivered to the Terminal as static JSON files. No personally identifiable information is transmitted to the AI processing service.

9. Your Rights (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of any personal data held about you. For the license activation data described in Section 3, contact us directly (Section 12). For data collected by third-party services (Google, TradingView, GitHub), requests should be directed to that provider.

To withdraw your analytics cookie consent, clear your browser's localStorage or revisit the Terminal in a private/incognito window.

10. Children's Privacy

The Terminal is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Terminal constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

12. Contact
